Financial Literacy Lesson

Thank you to everyone who attended our financial literacy event, and thank you to our guest speakers from Bridges to Wealth, Dr. Keith Weigelt and Dr. Jill Bazelon! Students learned about the importance of financial education, and how to build their wealth beginning in high school.

Python and Scratch Lessons

Thank you to everyone who attended our series of eight coding lessons! In these classes, students learned the fundamentals of Python and Scratch. Python students used their knowledge of types, functions, and loops to create animations and games with the Pygame library. Scratch students learned to use conditional statements, variables, and Booleans to create a functional Asteroids game!

   Thank you to all students who attended our series of 4 STEM speaker events! We'd also like to give a special thank you to our amazing panelists:

In these sessions, students were able to hear from professionals on specialized STEM topics, career options, academic pathways in STEM, and more.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Hour of Code lesson! The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
